Sewn nylon clothWe cut the rectangle from woven nylon and run double stitching along the outer seams. The hem holds its shape when the cloth snaps in the wind, keeping the edges from unravelling along the boundary thread.

Molded plastic sleeveThe hard tube along the left side is pre-sewn into the hem. It slides directly over the top of a thin yard pin, letting the cloth turn freely around the pole without wrapping tight around the rod.
