Drop the cup into a fresh cut in the lawn, thread the fiberglass sections together, and the backyard has a real pin. The plastic cup lets water out through the base so mud stays down, while the flag spins on the pole when the breeze picks up.

Fiberglass rod sectionsThe pole breaks down into short fiberglass lengths that slide apart for storage. You can pull it down and tuck it away in a shed corner when the lawn mower needs to come across the green.
Draining hole cupMolded ABS plastic forms the cup body, with three drain openings across the floor. Rainwater runs out into the subsoil below instead of collecting in a puddle around the bottom of the stick.
