When daylight runs out on the grass, you drop the lighted ring into the cup and flip the switch. The cup glows from the rim down. We paired our short yard flag with an illuminated ring so late putts still have an aim point.
Lighted ring over the cupThe illuminated ring sits over the cup floor with a lens over the diodes. You click the switch on the unit and set the flag base through the center hole.
Ball retriever on the baseThe base under the fiberglass rod catches the ball as it drops in. You lift the pin by the grip and the ball comes up with it, so you skip bending over.
Fiberglass rod with double clothWe build the short pole from coated fiberglass so it stays straight in the wind. The nylon flag is stitched in two layers to hold its shape above the green.
